Store Reviews

November 6, 2017 Love this store!! We visit Cabin Fever every time we’re in Blowing Rock and always find something new. I am so excited to see they have a new and improved website. Now I can visit even when I’m three states away! Recommend them highly. Sherry Center Fort Pierce, FL......December 29, 2017 I have visited this store several times over the years and am never disappointed. Glad to see the website is adding more of what I love so much in their store. Sophie Randal

Mountain News

Tweetsie Opens Friday! This week, Tweetsie Railroad will open for the 2018 season! From April 6th to Memorial Day weekend, the park will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. After May 27, Tweetsie moves to daily hours. Special guests and events are scheduled all season. And don't forget to stop by our store to see the latest editions to our chainsaw bear collection! Also, a Blue Ridge Parkway closure this Spring will impact local commutes and travel to local attractions. The National Park Service announces the closure of the Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway for surface repaving and bridge maintenance from March 1, 2018 through May 24, 2018. These projects require a full closure of the Parkway at the Viaduct, including closure of the trail below the bridge; with the reopening coinciding with Memorial Day weekend. Parkway visitors will be able to travel up to the Viaduct, which means that trail access at places like Rough Ridge will still be open. Because of the closure, a detour will go from Holloway Mountain Road to Hwy 221 on the other side of the Viaduct.
